The picture I have created shows how I want to be a marine.
I have many reasons why. A home we have no money to pay for college. It has it’s always made me sad to see my mom cry because she can’t afford to give us the things we need. I love my mom to death and I want to give back to her and make
sure she is set. What I mean by that is the fact that she has to use her retirement funds or savings. My mom and my stepdad only really make enough to pay the rent, but sadly we had to ask for government assistance.
Being a marine would allow me to help her, and let her know she did a great job raising me. I want her to know that I will be ok and I will treasure everything she has taught me.
Also, all my life I was a fat kid. I was always bullied and picked on. I had no motivation for anything, no drive that kept me going. I used to quit on everything. It was a terrible feeling, the feeling of being worthless.
Then one day I prayed to God and asked for guidance, strength and direction. Next thing I knew, I became friends with a Marine Corps recuiter. I had only spoken with him briefly before and thought nothing of it. I began to look up all the branches of the service and then something deep inside me told me to message the Marine recruiter. Ever since then, I have been training. I’ve lost over 70 pounds and continue to pray just to make sure. I am sure because I never felt better in my life!
As a Marine, I want to be an aircraft mechanic. I’ve always loved planes. but not
only that… I want to make sure the ones I love are always safe and protected…I want to be a warrior!
